This study is designed to confirm the choice of a GI as a valorising tool for Seychelles Honey and, should the case be, to establish the conditions under which such a tool would work in practice. This research-action approach explores different options and scenarios and includes concrete recommendations (on the name to be registered, on the applicant, on the specifications…). The recommendations take into account AFrIPI's sustainability criteria for GI support (environmental preservation, equity/social cohesion, improvement in the marketing of the product).
